Our Heart's Desires – 3 Boys and a Lil' Miss

Psalm 37:4 says that if you delight yourself in the Lord, He will Grant your hearts desires. There are many passages of God’s word that tell his people that nothing is impossible for Him, one of my faverourites Jeremiah 32:17 “Ah, Sovereign Lord , you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” While we are currently facing challenges in our lives, specifically some really scary stuff with one of our children’s health. God reminds us in the little stuff that he’s there, that nothing is impossible for Him, while he’s given us continued peace &strength to deal with everything, he’s also shown his love in unexpected ways, like by granting some of my desires. As if to say, look how well I know you, I can give you the small stuff in such unexpected ways, so don’t you think I can see to the big stuff too…? I didn’t specifically ask (pray) for these things but in the quiet moments just being a mom who longs for pretty things for her kids, I’d enjoy browsing things from all our amazing local &mom headed businesses. I’d save some of them in my collections so that I’d remember where I saw them, so that later when things cool down a bit I’d get one or two at a time. Well God showed me just a little of how well He knows me, and blessed me with some of those items through competitions I had entered or simply laying it on someone’s heart to gift it to us. The items I won and got gifted were ALL specifically on my “wishlist” down to the specific brand! Some people say I’m lucky I always win, I don’t think I’m lucky, just blessed I guess. And while others may not see it and even after reading this may not believe it, I believe that the recent wins and gifts were God’s way of blessing our family, of showing us that He is in control and even in the small ways, that He answers prayers and knows our hearts. It gives us hope that he’ll see to the BIG things too, and we don’t need to worry, we simply need to keep turning to Him, relying on Him and being lead by Him. We celebrated Craig's 8th Birthday at @wonderdalworld Edutainment Centre at @hazendal_estate and what a fun time the kids, and we all had! We took so many pictures and videos that my phone almost died on me, the kids were thoroughly entertained and all while learning about science, nutrition and nature. The activities encourage creativity, design, engineering and mental stimulation all through adventure play. Even the play equipment is cleverly designed to encourage physical activity and puzzle solving skills while having fun.All the touch screens in @wonderdalworld use a specialised sliver ion technology transparent overlay covers, this technology repels 99% of bacteria and the screens and all equipment are sprayed and physically cleaned every 60 minutes. All further COVID19 safety protocols are followed too, such as Amuki logo stickers on the floor for social distancing, seperate entrance and exit areas etc. For more info on Safety please visit www.wonderdal.co.za After the visit to Wonderdal it was time for food! So off to Babushka Deli at the old Threshing Circle we went - the food was amazing & the kids especially loved the pizza and cookie decorating kit! We were later joined by the grandparents so that they could celebrate with Craig too!We explored the beautiful lawns, the majestic amphitheatre and the rocky stream! The men even paid the beer garden a visit and I enjoyed my Almond Chai Tea Latte. All in all it was an absolutely beautiful family day out and we are definitely going back again!
